So as Halloween approached, nobody seemed to be in the Halloween spirit that month so we didn't really plan on any costumes. In fact we didn't pull this together until the night of. It started off with me just dressing Trevor as a girl and then we went to Kenton and Anna's house to get me a costume. When Anna saw Trevor she wanted Kenton to do the same and then the girls dress up as boys! It was the funniest thing ever. So many people didn't recognize Trevor at first and that made it all worth it he says! :)

OREGON 2010

In August we set out to travel the coast of Oregon. We started at Multnomah Falls, made our way to Portland to see the Chinese Garden and then started making our way down the coast. It was beautiful. We stayed at a couple of KOA's along the way sleeping in our van. It was a lot of fun. We went to two lighthouses, saw the house that was in Goonies, tried lots of privately owned little restaurants, and did some hiking. The lighthouses and the Chinese Garden was my favorite!

AUGUST BBQ

This was our August Bon Fire. I was hitting yard sales with my mom when I ran acrossed this telescope. I got it for $5! So we had the idea of having a bon fire in the mountians so that I could see how it works! We called our friends and Mark and Dave ended up preparing a really nice BBQ. The way up the mountain actually sucked. We broke down on our three wheeler a couple of times. Some people didn't notice we weren't behind the anymore and it was kinda crowded on that little three wheeler with a telescope and a cooler on it! Anyways we finally get there and find an awesome camp place and had a great time! Food was delicious- they were serious bout their BBQ!

Over a three day weekend we took a road trip to California to break away from reality. We left on a Friday night and drove all night- getting there early the next morning. We got a camping spot near Newport beach and we just slept in our van. Our activities included Whale Watching, Beach Bumming, Coastline driving,Seashell collecting and shopping. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back for a visit. My favorite part was falling asleep on the beach with the sound of the waves. It felt good. I'm still wondering why I bothered coming back.

While driving down the coastline we noticed a surfing competition going on so we stopped by to watch the surfer dudes!

It was warm outside but the water really was freaking cold! I couldn't go in past my knees!

While in California we took a whale watching tour. Here we see a small blue whale. He did jump in the air twice but it happened too fast to catch in on camera.

Good Bye Barnes Bank

Though I am still working with some Barnes Bank employees I had to say goodbye to a lot of close friends on February 12th. It was the best place to work for and these were the best people to work with! It was awesome to work for a bank that I believed in and I have no regrets. :)

ST GEORGE OVER NEW YEARS!

Over New Years we went to St. George for the weekend, carpooling with Kenton and Anna and staying at their family's condo. Friday (New Years Day) we went to Las Vegas to the outlets for an all day shopping event! We literally shopped till we dropped and the weather was perfect! Afterwards we went to Mesquite and ate at a casino with a buffet- It was just my luck that it was seafood Friday- I survived with other good stuff, luckily. I then turned one dollar into five dollars and got the heck out of there! I could see how someone could get addicted to gambling. I think I was the only one who left with a profit. Saturday we did a little hiking- it made me sore the rest of the weekend! I must be out of shape. It was a much needed long vacation though and I'm glad we were invited!:) Kenton twisted his ankle or something...:) Shopping at the outlets in Las Vegas. The girls reading our Gossip magazines on the way home!

ANNIVERSARY INN

The 29th was our 2 year anniversary! Yay! We stayed in the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake and we ate dinner at the Old Spagetti Factory. Each room has a different theme and I picked the Twilight room! It was rather elegant and fun. They had books, chess and brought breakfast to us in the morning. It was awesome!

On a whim Trevor and I decided we would go see Mount Rushmore over the weekend. We left Friday night after work and arrived around 3:30 in the morning- taking about 9.5 hours of driving. We slept in the van near a camping area and awoke freezing around 7:30. We drove to the town of Custer and ate a nice warm breakfast and then immediatly made our way to Mount Rushmore. I thought it was awesome!There were so many people there from different countries who came to see it too. We then drove to Crazy Horse Monument about 10 minutes away. The Indians had asked a sculpture to carve a monument of one of thier heroes like they had done at Mount Rushmore. So by himself this sculpture started the project by himself but died in 1982. So his family has continued his work using donated funds to finish. It will be many more years before they finish but it will look wicked awesome when they do! We had a fun experience and were able to make it home to watch the morning session of conference today! Yay!

A Special Event

All of the group came together to celebrate the joining of TJ Benedict and Cami. They were married at the Salt Lake Temple and it was an all day event with the ceremony, the luncheon and then last the reception. Trevor and I were honored to be included in thier special day and Cami looked radiant in her wedding attire!

Well, two weeks ago we went to Bear Lake (that quote from The Office popped into my mind and made me laugh so I had to write it down). Anyways we were invited to Bear Lake by the Haslems for "Rasberry Days". Trevor had to work Friday night so I went ahead and headed down with the Haslems after work where we camped in an RV Park. We ended up sleeping in the boat for the night and the next morning Trevor arrived. Anna and Kenton cooked us breakfast in the back of the truck for everyone. They even brought Elk Steaks- a lot of them. Needless to say- because of my mental problems- I didn't have one of his delicious steaks. Afterwards we went boating and laid out on the beach and had a blast!

THE WEBER RIVER

On the 24th of July we went tubing down the Weber River. We left around 3:00 and floating down the river took about 2 hours or less. It was a blast! 5 min into floating down, my tube got flipped by some bushes and I took a dive into the river. Often times I had to jump off my tube all together to avoid the trees and bushes and it is so hard to get back on your tube while in motion. When you'd go under some bushes you'd find tons of bugs and spiders on you! TJ had one on him and then I later found one on me! YIKES! (it was black with white stripes, but no one believes me because of my "over-reaction")We even went under a bridge right when a train was passing over it. It was a little scary! It was the perfect amount of time to be on the river. We had to get off right before a small but deadly waterfall sucked us in. It was one of the funnest trips I've had all month! The people who came were: Trevor and I, Cami and TJ, Shantay and David, CJ Pierce, and Matt Snyder.

This is my favorite picture! Shantay was so worried about the trip down the river but it turned out she had the least amount of trouble and simply got to relax and tan herself the whole time! :)

The 4th Of July

For the 4th guess what we did? We went and saw fireworks of course! Friends, Fun and Fireworks are all good ingrediants for an awesome weekend! On the 4th seven of us all piled into the back of Tom's truck to carpool to the Davis High Fireworks. The traffic jam afterwards made it nice to sit with everyone and talk. We met some nice people who were fun to hang out with as well!

On Friday the 3rd, Andrea, Sam and I went to the Rec Center to chill by the pool and get some sun. Andrea and I went off the high dive in the indoor pool for the first time and you can tell how nervous I was in the video! Lol:)

The weekend before the 4th of July we were invited to go boating over at Starvation Lake. Everyone else stayed overnight at Kenton's cabin but Andrea, Mark and I headed up there just for the day. It was a lot of fun. I wasn't planning to go on the tube but Andrea persuaded me to and it ended up being a blast! (minus the bruises and scrapes I got from riding with David Haslem). Yeah never again will I get on if Scott's driving the boat! That part was terrifying! Well we had fun in the sun and I can't wait to go again sometime soon! Andrea and I on the tube! TJ and Cami

Washington Trip Part 2

After we dropped everyone off from getting back from Washington, we sat in the van for an hour trying to discuss what to do with the rest of our vacation. After it was only Wednesday morning and we still had the rest of the week off work. Trevor was adamant that we just went back to Washington because any other place we thought of didn't compare and we never got the chance to go to Forks. So Wednesday around noon we headed back to Washington and arrived at 1:00 in the morning Thursday. We slept on Heidi's couch for the night (saving us Hotel money, Thanks!)and then headed to Forks! We had to take two ferries to get there and then we got our camp spot right outside Port Angeles which was about 30 min. from Forks. We got to go to Forks - through all the little shops, to La Push- first and second beach. We also went to two other beaches near the area, did a lot of hiking, and sight seeing. We walked around all the little shops in Port Angeles and in Port Townsend. It was a blast!

Best part was it was sunny the whole time! Can you say....Lucky? Needless to say, we didn't see any vampires because of the sunny weather:)

It was definately hard to come home after getting to wear jeans every day. I don't take my casual clothes for granted anymore! Anyways I can't wait to go back! Trevor and I want to make it a Tradition to go back because we both loved the ocean and the people were awesome as well! In the end I was glad we came back, We wouldn't have been able to see all of Forks in just one day anyways!

Washington Trip Part 1

It's been awhile but I'm sure I should mention our vacation for the year that we mad back in May. We had planned since January to go to Havasupi (a hike totalling 10 miles both ways). Unfortunately due to the epidemic of the Swine Flu, The Havasupi Reservation called us and cancelled.We quickly had to decide where we wanted to go and our group decided on Washington State for Camping. Two other couples were coming with us- Tj and Cami, and David and Shantay. We took Trevors mini van and headed up there on a Saturday morning. I pulled out my lap top and put in some movies in an attempt to distract from a long and tedious 12 hour drive. After stopping at a Motel in Oregon for the night, we arrived Sunday morning at our Campsite. It was a very nice place which included hiking trails, a shower, and a river behind our campsite. Our first activities when we got there was to set up our tent, buy some food, and then go for a bike ride. We pushed our bikes up a steep hill that I think nearly killed me (good thing we didn't go to Havasupi I guess...) And we took in the sight seeing through the woods on our bikes. On Monday we took a little hike to the waterfall pictured above and then later went to Seattle and walked around the Market place and went out to dinner as it started to pour rain. As we arrived back to our camp, we found that the Haslems stuff had been completely drenched because of the way the tent was set up. So the rain put a damper on the rest of the night and by the morning every one was done with the trip. We headed home a day early and arrived home 3.00 in the morning. We've had a few small activities going on lately. Every weekend we find something fun to do. A few weeks ago, I believe it was conference weekend, we went hiking in between sessions. We drove up the mountian right above Centerville and then hiked up the mountian. Of course Kenton had to find a dead animal to touch- it's like a tradition. We were actually looking for Sheds from Deer and Elk, Kenton is obsessed with finding them but we never did this time.We found several other interesting items though.....

April Fools Day

April Fools day was TJ Benedicts birthday. We celebrated with all the friends at Fire House Pizza in Centerville. We were also celebrating Cami's birthday which was on March 30th. Tj's parents were so kind to buy everyone's pizza and handed out a quiz about how well we know TJ. I only got half of them right....

The Knolls

Last Weekend Trevor and I with a group of friends went camping at the Sand Dunes called The Knolls. We meant to leave around six or seven on Friday but we ended up leaving between nine and ten and then had to set up our tents in the dark.I was extremely tired so I slept fairly well but the wind started blowing really hard the next morning which is what forced me out of the tent. I was sure it was going to roll away with me in it. The freezing wind blew all morning making us struggle to make breakfast but eventually made some delicious eggs, bacon, and Dutch Oven Corn Bread! The Corn Bread was the best part and was made by Shantay Haslem and thanks to her husband Dave who gave me his big coat, I didn't freeze to death! After breakfast we went dirt bike riding,and three wheeling around the Dunes. By 3:00 we were home and dying to take a shower because every inch of us was covered in sand. We then cleaned up and met later at Joy Luck for dinner with everyone and then went to the Ferris' apartment for a movie. We watched "Burnt Offerings" - don't watch it. It's scarred me possibly for life. If you do watch it, you'll know why.

Family Party

To celebrate the Birthdays that have occurred the past few months, we had a family party at Grandma's house. Once Shaun, Alex, and Scott got there the party started- they brought the house to life a little! We Celebrated birthdays for Julie, Carl, brad, mom, grandma, Sutton, Susan and me! Grandma made us little Cupcakes with our names on it. Grandma also cooked us taco's - that's right- she cooked meat for us! It was delicious and the night was full of laughs:)

The same day as the Peace Gardens, we went to another garden called the Gilgal Garden with our friends Dave and Shantay Haslem. Basically it was made by an LDS artist who made sculptures representing his religion. The Gilgal garden features 12 original sculptures arranged in a rough circle and more than seventy stones inscribed with poems, scriptures, and philosophical texts.

The Sphynx is drowsy, Her wings are Furled, Her ear is Heavy, She Broods on the world. Who'll tell me her secret the ages have kept? I awaited the Seer, while they slumbered and slept.

Around the World in 20 Acres

Trevor bought a book called Utah Curiousities. It lists a bunch of landmarks to see in Utah. Since Monday was a holiday we did some close-by site seeing in Salt Lake. This place is called The International Peace Gardens which has miniature monuments representing many countries. It's probably prettier in the summer time so I want to go again when it's warmer. Does the Eiffel Tower look pretty big in that picture? Well it's not- I'm a foot taller than it! The Peace Gardens was established after World War II by the Salt Lake Council of Women. They opened the Garden in 1947. America Bids the World to be done with the instruments of war and in the spirit of these gardens to cultivate the arts of peace.

Happy Valentines Day!

So on Friday the 13th we decided to make Valentines cookies for our friends and neighbors. Trevor made the cookies and the frosting and Sam and I cut them out and frosted them. Yeah... we got the fun part! We originally were going to do it at the Weaver household but out of no where the Oven broke- did Friday the 13th take part in that? So we went over to the Heslop's and they let us bake them in their oven. The next morning we went over to the Benedict's house for breakfast. Everyone was invited by TJ and Cami, they made us breakfast. No- we didn't have eggs Benedict but we did have Crepes, Waffles, and German Pancakes with fruit. It was a good time- Trevor had to work at the post office so it was nice to not be completely alone on Valentines day:)

That didn't keep our spirits down for long though, Nevaeh led the way as we did the Super Bowl march with our musical instruments:)

ST GEORGE TRIP

This past weekend we were invited to join a group of our friends to stay in one of Kenton and Anna's family Condos in St. George for the weekend. I took Friday off and got up early to drive down there. We first stopped and chatted with Trevor's old mission buddy who owned a barber shop. We sat in there talking as he cut hair while soon finding out what a small world it was when an older lady came in, found out I worked at Barnes Bank, and I apparently work with her two nieces. Small Small World!We then met up with everyone at the Condo, relaxed for awhile and then went down to the Outlets for some shopping! Next day (Saturday) Trevor treated me to a European Facial and a hair style. I have never had a professional facial before so I was really nervous! But I loved it overall! We then went hiking- I can't remember what the areas called.... Anyways our activities there included a small hike into a cave, a jumping contest in the sand dunes, and a wresting match in the sand - Mark against David Haslem and Matt Snider. It's hard to tell who won and we do have it on film but its on Trevors camera and needs to be edited. We then went back to the condo, cooked some soups for everone to eat and then the girls and the boys split off. The guys went shot gun shooting in the dark while the girls stayed home watching a Doris Day movie that was so fun to watch. The boys came home and decided they wanted to hear ghost stories- everybody had at least one real experience with a haunting and it made us so so freaked out. Luckily we turned on a conference session that made us feel good enough to fall asleep! Our group consisted of the following people: Kenton and Anna Ferris (married) Trevor and I (married) Mark Todd, Matt Snider, Matt's cousin Lexi, TJ and cute Cami (dating), David Haslem and Shante(married). Probably the best group of people I've ever been on a trip with and it was nice to get away from all the snow for awhile:)

We had a chance to go and see the Temple lights with a group of our friends about a week ago. It happened to be on a very snowy day though so we ended up being really wet and cold even though we still made it a blast. The snow wouldn't have bothered me as much if there hadn't been wind blowing it into our faces! Boo! - I have to work tomorrow! We had a jam packed Christmas day. Christmas Eve was at the Rushtons, Christmas morning at the Weavers for breakfast, Christmas afternoon with my mom, and Christmas night we tried desperately to split between Uncle Carls house and then afterwards to Aunt Mazie's house on Trevors side. I'm pretty partied out now. There's a blizzard outside so it was scary trying to find our way home in it. I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow! :(

Super Freaks

On Tuesday we had a little Cutlers reunion at Lindsays house for dinner. We had Chili, breadsticks,brownies, and salad (which I brought and nobody ate)... Then we Reminisced about the good old days. Memories such as attempting to break into someone's garage, exploring haunted houses, and not to mention all the boy drama! Oh sweet memories.... In the pictures starting on the left is Lindsay, Jade, Jamie, and then me.

On Monday we were invited by Trevor's friend Brian Heslop for a celebration of his Birthday at Classic Skating in Layton.

This is Brian Helsop who's backyard shares Trevor's backyard. Age....26ish? Ha ha not sure.... Hobbies include Dancing- I don't think you can go anywhere with him without him busting a dance move. He was having fun dancing in the middle of the skating rink when the disco lights turn on! He has a bachelors degree in English, and actually teaches English now at one of those lame schools down south that are so far away!Pure Talent and if you couldn't tell he's very animated!

Change of Scene

I really have nothing interesting going on. I just wanted a change of scene... not that Trevors bruised leg isn't attractive to look at every day. I am stuck at home this Friday with a bad eye infection that has been getting worse every day this past week. I have a doctors appointment at Costco for it tomorrow and hopefully I can look normal on Monday when I go to work. My eye looks like the droopy eyelid of a pudgy dog. Yeah... Anyways Trevor went to Surf & Swim for his friend Hadleys Birthday party and I'm just watching the office except I ran out of episodes so I'm watching them again cause I don't want to get up... I put up the picture because it reminded me of Twilight and how I'm waiting for mom to finish the book so we can go see it when Hiedi comes down this month:)

Trevor has had a string of bad luck these past few weeks. First he rolled his ankle at work doing his Cement job and making his ankle swell up real big. The next week as he was delivering mail this past Monday a dog and his owner came up to him and asked him for his mail and when Trevor turned around the dog bit him in the back of the leg. Trevor had to get shots and the Post Office is now suing the owner of the dog for damages. It is possible that Trevor is turning into a dog. He whimpers a lot for food and has an impeccable sense of smell lately. We call Trevor a "Gimp" now- he's my little Gimpy! He wobbles around the house and doesn't give me piggy backs anymore... Sniff Sniff!

The Rushton's 50th Anniversary

Today was Grandma and Grandpa Rushton's 50th Anniversary celebration. We went to Wheeler Historical Farm for family pictures which was also a place me, Jacklyn and Michie ran one of our 5k marathons! We ran for the fire fighters! It was a really pretty place. Afterwards we went to an Italian restuarant at the Gateway mall.

Random/Weird facts about myself:
1) I hate walking up stairs. It's boring and it takes forever, therefore I have to run up them skipping at least one to get to the top faster.
2)I'm obsessed with cabins right now. I'd love to live in one.

3)I don't like Silk clothes.... it's too cold on my skin.
4)Some people savor their showers but I rush through them to get them over with. In my mind their a waste of time but something you have to do.

So things are going pretty good for us. I've nearly adjusted to my new job and I'm not so afraid of the phones anymore. Trevor got a new job doing cement work and his boss is flexible with his Post Office schedule.Tomorrow we have Nevaeh's birthday party at Chile's to look forward to, Saturday we have Ben's annual Halloween party (I'm going as a blue haired fairy I guess...) and Sunday we are planning to decorate Halloween cookies! So the weekend should be fun after this long dreary week! But here comes the million dollar question....

The season of Halloween is a favorite among friends. Many Halloween parties coming up and discussions about costumes. All I know about my costume is that I have a short blue wig that I bought in Hollywood. Any Ideas how I could use it? Anyways on Sunday night we went over to our friends TJ's house and made candy houses with a bunch of our friends and tonight we just got back from a game night with another set of friends. We played a different form of Pictionary that makes it way hilarious in the end and I'm posting some of our beautiful art work! In other news my new job is intense and stressful at the moment because there's so much to take in and remember in so little time. I hating answering the phone calls from customers too! I have nightmares about it..... I'm trying to forget about work when I'm home because I'll only make my stomache sick thinking about it, I know.... Pitiful! I'll get past this rough stage in a couple of months maybe. Anyways I'll focus on more positive things like Halloween. Don't forget to comment and give me ideas on how to use my blue wig for a costume!
I thought this would work for the theme of my blog. I was trying to get them to guess Halloween. If you don't know the formula it's Ghosts+Pumpkins+Bats+Candy=Halloween.

I know, I know, it kinda just looks like a pile of Candy and junk but it sure is tasty and took me over an hour to make:)

Britani's New Baby

This week my friends and I from work were able to go visit our friend Britani at her house with her new addition. Keep in mind the mom is pretty small herself and little Carson Seth Hunsaker was born three weeks early and weighed 4 pounds- 11 ounces! Tiny tiny....but perfectly healthy and strong:)

I guess this is me up-dating everyone on matters of my life that don't really make a very interesting story. Don't fall asleep though.... I've been given a job promotion as a Loan Officer Assistant. I will be working at Barnes Banking Company at the Lay-an branch instead of the Kaysville "mother ship" branch. I'm moving up the ranks baby! The new girl aka the old me, will be arriving on Monday so I can train her. Couldn't come sooner (I've only been waiting four weeks for my boss to hire someone) nothing could be harder than that job right now and I'll feel sorry for her. I can't wait to work for my new boss (Dale). You can tell a character of a person when you look into their eyes, true true. I will be sacrificing my friends though.... No, not like that! I mean I'll have to leave all my work friends....Sniff Sniff :( Sad! Alright well that's all that's really new in life. I better go do something interesting and fun so the next time I write I'll have a good story. Wake Up!

Nightmare on 13th

Last night we were able to join Shaun, Julie, Alex and Scott and two of their friends on an expedition to Nightmare on 13th, a haunted house in Salt Lake. It's amazing how much it costs just to be scared! Alex and I both agreed that since Julie was the most frightened when we arrived it made us braver and less scared. As we went through the haunted house I had Trevor behind me and my hand placed on Julie's back in front of me the whole time. I'm sure I often grabbed a hold of her bra on the occasion of frightening moments that occurred.... Oops! We paid five bucks more for 13 more rooms that were deemed to be scarier but we found that we were disappointed at the end. We finally came out of it with sweaty faces and frizzy hair! Then we went to Scone Cutters and ate some dinner. Tons of fun.... fun fun fun! We got some pictures this time too:)

Girls Over-Nighter

Me and my friends from the bank have been planning this girls over nighter in Park City for two months and it finally happened last weekend. I suddenly fell ill with a cold on the Friday of but I was determined to still go anyway and have fun.... maybe thats why everyone's sick now. Anyway Megan has been going to school for cosmetology and Danielle has been in massage school so they surprised Britani and I with facials and massages! It was way awesome getting pampered like that! We stayed up late watching What Happens in Vegas which I'll need to see again cause I fell asleep and then woke up the next morning with a jolt seeing a dark figure standing in the doorway of my room. Britani scared the crap out of me! Ha ha then we cooked breakfast in our tiny kitchen at our Hotel then proceeded to go "Shooop-ping!" at the Outlets. It was awesome:) Notice the basketball under her shirt? Not there anymore.... Britani had her baby today!

The Cold Within

So in school the other night for Oral Communications class we shared our favorite poem or book with the class. This is a poem my friend Jacki Taylor shared and I liked it so much that I decided to post it for everyone! Yay!

'The Cold Within'

Six humans trapped by happenstance
In dark and bitter cold
Each possessed a stick of wood--
Or so the story's told.
Their dying fire in need of logs,
But the first one held hers back,
For, of the faces around the fire,
She noticed one was black.
The next one looked cross the way
Saw one not of his church,
And could not bring himself to give

Camping at Willow Flats

No I am not wearing flip-flops with my socks!

So last weekend Trevor and I went camping with Shaun, Julie, Alex, Scott, and some of Trevor's friends. Unfortunately my camera died as soon as we got there.... so no pictures but I stole some from Alex's blog:) We arrived around eleven O'clock at night at a camp ground in Willow Flats, Idaho. We set up our tents in the dark and then listened to stories of how England is really like around the camp fire. It was lots of fun. Of course the cousins were the hit of the party because of their very attractive English accents! I told Trevor not to invite them because he always ends up giving them all of his attention instead of me! Just kidding.... but seriously. The six of us all slept in the same tent and then cooked breakfast burritos in the morning... Delish! We then proceeded to go shotgun shooting, ATV riding and took a little hike up the mountain to the beginning of the creek. I might add that though Trevor's Utah friends have been shooting guns their entire lives, Shaun and Scott still managed to beat them all in numerous shot-gun shooting contests- making Trevor's friends quite frustrated with themselves. Leave it to the English to make the Americans look bad! Since I didn't get any pictures from the trip I'm posting some from last Christmas I fell across.

Our California Trip

While in California our one big splurge was to see Broadway Musical Wicked! It's based off of the Wizard of Oz except it portrays the wicked witches point of view. I've been listening to the soundtrack for years and finally got the chance to see it and it was awesome!

Also in Hollywood we went to the Hollywood Wax Museum. They did a pretty good job at making them look fairly real but Trevor and I both agree that Samuel L. Jackson was the closest to real!

We were able to stay in a hotel in Garden Grove, California arriving Sat. Aug 2nd. On Sunday we went to one of Trevors old familiar churches when he was serving his mission and got to great some familiar faces. Of Course with the good times come the bad times with every trip of ours.... On Monday Trevor caught either food poisening or the stomach flu- it has yet to be determined. Tuesday we went to Hollywood to tour the Hollywood Wax Museum and shop. Not the loveliest of places but we got to watch a movie being filmed on the streets and caught a glimps of some hard to find stars! (When I say stars I mean the cement ones on the ground). On Wednesday we went to New Port Beach and battled with the waves for hours! It was really fun and challanging not to drown! J/K!Whatever it was Trevor had I caught it on Thursday that week! It was really crappy to be cooped up in a hotel room all day and then feeling grossed out by the slightest smell of food! We lost two valuable days from sickness so we were unable to go to Universal Studios :( On Friday we then got to go to our musical but on the way one of my tires went flat and I had to get both the front tires replaced. Luckily though we still made it to Wicked on time! The best musical in the world made the whole trip more than worth it!

Gloria's Fake Obituary

Once upon a time...my friend Gloria from work had a boy who kept calling her and calling her and calling her even though she sent him this obituary I whipped up specifically for that purpose. I don't think it worked though.....

Gloria Leticia Dominquez 1983 – 2008
Our beloved Daughter, sister, and friend Gloria Leticia Dominquez was born June 7th, 1983ish in the state of Texas. She peacefully drowned Monday during a river rafting trip in Kemmerer, Wyoming from complications of not being able to breathe. Her family moved to Utah where she attended BYU University graduating with a bachelors in Philosophy. She was active in the LDS church serving many positions and furthermore was a dedicated and devote volunteer bodyguard for President Monson at the conference center.

A knowledgeable Barnes Banking Company employee she was constantly consulted by friends and family wherever loan questions arose. Many have insisted her advice saved their lives.

Gloria suffered from painful brain freezes from her Sonic Slush addictions but nevertheless enjoyed long naps after work, and she even prized the smell of wet cement. Her favorite days were general conference weekends and her most preferred activity to participate in was dancing.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Aug.15 at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 So. and 1800 East, Bountiful. Friends may call Thursday Aug. 14, 6-8 p.m. at Russon, Brothers Mortuary, 295 No. Main, Bountiful and Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bountiful. Condolences may be shared at www.russonmortuary.com.

So the story on this video is there’s this kid named Aaron who works at my bank. He’s really quiet and reserved and he claims he has no personality or emotions. Could be true…. Anyway my friend Gloria and I sort of harass him so he’d break out of his shell a little. We’d steal little items from his desk, hide them, and leave riddles as to where to find them; just small things here and there to get us through the tedious work day. Anyway I stole his chap stick, drew a face on him with some tears, snapped some pictures and sent them to him through our interoffice mail with a note that said “We have your friend. Our ransom will be made known to you in due time….” So a few weeks have passed while Trevor made a ransom video with our friends Dave, Mark, and Brian which you see above. I sent the disc to him through the mail today that said “watch alone” and it’s pretty freaking hilarious! It’s kind of an inside joke that everyone knows about but Aaron. I just sent it to him today so we’ll see if he really does leave the ransom demand but I doubt he will!

The Spiral Jetti

These pictures are of the Spiral Jetti in the Great Salt Lake. I had an Introduction to Art class at Weber State University over a year ago and we had to drive for hours to see these rocks placed in a spiral motion in the lake that this man created as a form of art. The water was really high so it's kinda hard to see very well. Our assignment was to take photography shots of the area.

This past Tuesday we went to see our friend Danny Heslop perform at the L'astelier Cafe in down town Salt Lake - His first solo performance from his band "The Brothers of Funk."The cafe had cool photography all over the walls and had some interesting modern furniture. Danny is majoring in music at SLCC and teaches guitar on the side. He has some awesome guitar skills! The picture at the bottom is CJ Pierce and I caught a priceless pic of how Danny's music touched his heart.....

Earlier this year we were invited to Lindsay and Justin’s wedding. Trevor and I were invited to the temple, to the luncheon and then later to the reception. I was glad that we never had a reception on our wedding. By the end of the day I was exhausted and I wasn’t even the one standing there all night! It was fun though because it was like a mini Cutlers reunion! We decided to stand under the reception arch so we wouldn’t feel left out about never having a reception.

For those of you who were wondering if we ever won the June Wellness Challenge….. We did! We had to wait forever to get the results in because the other teams were really lazy about counting up their miles. Our team had about 1,130 miles total for June and we ended up winning by almost 80 miles. Total I did about 220.5 miles. And what do we get after the sweat, tears and exhaustion? We could choose from a water bottle, a sweat band or a $4 Gift Card! Victory is sweet isn’t it…..? I seriously haven’t been to the gym since June!

So at my work (Barnes Bank) there's this wellness contest where the branch has been broken up into four teams to see who can run/walk/bike the most miles for the month of June. Kid you not- it has gotten so serious that it has created some tension not to mention the drama! Me and my co-worker Megan are on the same team and we are absolutely determined to win because we do not want Tiffany's team to win! There's been so much trash talk on who's going to get the most miles that Megan and I are going to run/bike 100 miles this week alone! We are in second place right now, 80 miles behind Tiffany's team so I've literally been busting my butt for this competition! My competitive side has completely taken over so now I'm working full time, going to school full time and every night after school I hit the gym for two hours. The other teams don't know that there's a storm coming! It's going to be one exhausting month for me but it will all be worth it when we kick their butts!

The Newly Weds

Well here we are! The Newly Weds! Married on December 29Th 2007. We took our honeymoon vacation to the Zermatt Hotel in Midway, Utah and experienced a most delightful time including Trevor's food poisoning from his $29.99 plate of delicious dinner, Trevor's rash from the detergent they used on the bedding , the breaking down of the Heber Creeper, the misplacing of Grandma Rushton's envelope which contained a very generous cash donation, and the death of Trevor's beloved Grandma Weaver. How's that for a start?

For those of you who don't know we met at the Centerville 18Th Singles Adult ward Camp-out in Heber. Cousin Shaun (who earlier was mistaken for my boyfriend! lol) was invited to Kenton Ferris' cabin for the rest of the day and me and my two friends Andrea and Sam were invited to come along. That is what started my long friendship with the group and Trevor and I started dating after a year of being friends first. Our first date was actually set up by the bishopric because they wanted someone to take me to Savior of The World. Trevor I guess was suckered into it at the time. Then I began peeling away his onion layers after he took me snowboarding for my 20Th birthday. After that we hit it off, dating for 8 months and engaged for 4 months and now we've been married for 6 months!
